Conyers, Georgia Self Storage

What is Self Storage?

Self storage provides space for people and businesses to rent and store their personal or business belongings. The storage space is typically referred to as a unit. The size of the unit is usually based on the number of items a renter needs to store, or the size of those items. Tenants usually rent storage units on a short-term basis and pay a monthly fee.

Depending on what is being stored, a storage unit may have climate control and other features. Unlike full-service storage services, which limits tenants on how often they have access to their belongings, self storage units can be accessed at any time during access hours. Tenants are able to pack and arrange their belongings however they deem fit. They can also remove items from storage or add to their storage units during access hours.

We are locally owned and operated and offer easy access with plenty of available parking. The safety of our customers is a No. 1 priority, so our units are behind a gated entrance with 24-hour security monitoring. We also have an on-base manager during business hours who can advise you, help you, or answer any questions you may have. Our access hours for tenants is daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. With manager approval we also offer 24-hour access.

Self Storage Units

With much more access than other storage options, self storage gives the tenant more control over their belongings. There are many reasons why an individual or a business may need a storage unit. Someone who has an overflowing closet, basement filled with boxes, hobby or craft room filled with supplies, or a room filled with collector’s items, may benefit from a storage unit. Sometimes throwing these items out isn’t an option, but you just need more space at your home. Or sometimes a business is in the process of relocating, has years of files or paperwork they can’t throw out, or has a stockpile of merchandise and nowhere to put it. That’s where we come in. No matter what you need to store or for how long, we have the space for you.

What is Self Storage Used For?

  • Moving - sometimes when a person, family, or business is in the process of moving, they require storage space. When selling a home, it might help to store items so when showing the house to potential buyers, it’s cleared of clutter. Sometimes a home sells before the owners can close on another property, so they need to move their belongings to a storage unit until they can move into their new home. The same goes for businesses. One of the most common reasons for needing a self storage unit is transitioning from one house to another, relocating to another state across the country, or when someone is living in temporary housing.

  • Decluttering - Sometimes people outgrow their living space, but don’t want to or have the means to move into a larger home. Sometimes businesses need more space for merchandise, office supplies, or furniture, but don’t want to expand to another office space. Renting a self storage unit allows individuals and businesses to store important items they may not need at the moment, but still want access to.

  • Life Changes - Whether it’s a divorce, the addition of a baby, the death of a loved one, downsizing for retirement, a child going off to college, a temporary living situation for families who have an active military service member, or a natural disaster, renting a storage unit gives people the peace of mind that their belongings are safe while they navigate major life changes.

  • Home Renovations - When renovating a home, putting important items in storage ensures they won’t be damaged, stolen, or harmed during the renovation project. Renovations can take months and often require large items be moved out of the way. Rather than constantly moving heavy furniture from one room to another, or risking expensive furniture or other items being damaged or broken, renting a storage unit is an easy and convenient way to make room for the work to be done.

  • Vehicles - Cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, vans, and other motorized vehicles often require storage. Whether it’s for an extended business trip, a long vacation, a temporary move, or a business that requires a fleet of vans or trucks, a storage unit that has 24/7 security monitoring is a safe and convenient place to store vehicles and free up space in a garage, driveway, or parking lot.

No matter your reason for needing storage space, we can help you and advise you on the best storage options for your individual circumstances. We work one-on-one with our customers to best facilitate all of their storage needs.

Types of Storage

There are varying types of storage depending on people’s needs. There’s both long-term and short-term storage, different sizes of storage units, varying degrees of accessibility, outdoor and indoor storage, climate controlled units, mobile storage, and special storage units.

Choosing what type of storage works best for you is dependent on several factors, including what you’re storing, how long you need to store your belongings, and how often you may need to access it. If you’re searching for “storage units near me,” or “self storage near me,” and you live or work in the Conyers area region, we have you covered. Our expert team can help you determine what size and style storage unit will work best for your needs.

Storing your items in a public storage space may be new to you. You may be concerned because you’re not familiar with how it works, what size unit you will need, how much it will cost you, and the safety of your personal property in a public setting. Because we are a locally-owned and run self storage facility, we understand your concerns. Our skilled customer service team will help you determine what size unit can accommodate your items.

Should you need to expand or need more space after renting a storage unit, we can help you acquire a larger unit, or help you to rent or lease a second nearby unit. Moving your items into storage is as easy as renting a Uhaul truck or van, or loading up a personal vehicle or truck,  and unloading the items into your unit. We offer top-quality units at an affordable price and our customers’ safety -- and the safety of their personal property -- is of utmost importance to us, which is why our storage facility is behind a gated entrance and has continual security monitoring. We also have a manager on site during office hours to answer all of your questions.

Our expert team can advise you on whether your items might require climate control, what unit or units would offer you the best value for your money, what unit or units would offer you the best access if you expect to remove or add items frequently. We also offer extra insurance for your valuables at our leasing office.

Sometimes life requires transitions and you find yourself in need of extra storage space, we can help. Self storage is life storage. Aaron and Montana Self Storage recognizes that your personal property is important to you and your life, which is why we work so hard to ensure each customer has exactly what they need when it comes to self storage -- and that they have it as long or as short a time as needed -- so they can focus less on their material possessions and more on living their life.

About Us

Childhood buddies Derrill Perry and Roger Wilson grew up together in the same neighborhood in Tucker, Ga., went to high school together at Shamrock High School, and both played Varsity Football. Their friendship lasted well into adulthood, which is why when they became business partners and decided to open Aaron & Montana Self Storage, they named the storage facility after their two children, Indy Montana and  Aaron Lanier. The facility opened when the boys were both toddlers.

Being locally owned and operated was important for Derrill and Roger. Helping the Conyers community with all their storage needs, while simultaneously keeping the business family-oriented and regional means customers know who they are dealing with. That personal touch lends well to the high-quality customer service Aaron & Montana customers have come to know and expect.

With drive-up storage units and auto, boat, and RV parking spaces, we are able to serve customers with a variety of storage units to meet all their needs.
